Autism New Jersey regularly hears from families about the significant gap between their need for practical safety training and the limited availability of crisis prevention and intervention programs designed specifically for families. In response, we have cultivated a relationship with Ukeru, an organization known for its compassionate, trauma-informed approach to safety and crisis support.

Earlier this year, Autism New Jersey hosted its first in-person Ukeru Family Safety Training. Sixteen families participated, and the training received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with participants reporting increased confidence and practical strategies for preventing and safely managing crisis situations at home. Based on the success of that event, we are pleased to offer a second training opportunity free of charge.
