Autism New Jersey recently received a $2,000 grant from Investors Foundation. Above, Autism New Jersey Executive Director Dr. Suzanne Buchanan accepts the donation from Assistant Vice President Branch Manager Edith Legg (middle) and Vice President Sandy Broughton (right). The grant will help further our mission of spreading autism awareness by supporting the annual Autism Awareness Ambassador Program.
“The Ambassador Program has a significant impact on increasing the understanding and acceptance of autism in New Jersey,” said Autism New Jersey Executive Director Dr. Suzanne Buchanan. “The funds raised to support this program provide businesses, schools, legislators, and other community members with materials and information to help build communities that embrace and accept individuals and families with autism.”

Ambassadors of all ages engage their communities by creating informational displays and presentations in their schools and workplaces, organizing successful fundraising events, and enlisting the support of legislators and state officials throughout April, National Autism Awareness Month.
