Parenting, Patience & Disability Study: Supporting Families Through the Transition to Adulthood

Page Published on: 5/13/2026

The Parenting, Patience & Disability Study is a first-of-its-kind research project exploring how parents experience and understand patience while raising children with autism or intellectual disabilities.

Parents of children ages 11–17 are invited to participate in a 45-minute online survey each spring from 2026–2029. Findings from the study will help researchers create practical resources and supports for families as children transition into adulthood.
