Congratulations to Emma G., winner of this year’s Bookmark Contest! Emma is in fourth grade at Wayside Elementary School in Ocean Township. Her design will be featured on 40,000 bookmarks as part of our 2026 Ambassador Program materials.

The Ambassador Program is New Jersey’s key autism awareness initiative. Thousands of students, teachers, businesses and community members join Autism New Jersey’s movement each year. They educate peers, create inclusive spaces, and work to foster a community where people with autism thrive.
Emma’s bookmark was chosen out of entries from across the state. It features a series of colorful, hand-drawn patterns and the phrase, “There is a pattern for every person.” This phrase perfectly captures one of the themes from Autism New Jersey’s new logo: individuality, which refers to the unique strengths, challenges, personalities, and needs of each person on the autism spectrum.
