Religious institutions are often where families turn for support, connection and belonging. Sometimes, families of children and adults with autism choose not to practice their faith in public out of fear that their family members will act out during religious services, or that they will be judged or misunderstood. This booklet aims to help congregations create welcoming and supportive environments for individuals with autism as well as their families.
