Research Study: Hispanic/Latino Autistic Experiences in Therapy
March 12, 2025
This study compares two ways of involving stakeholders—Design Thinking (DT) and Focus Groups (FG)—to see which is more effective in engaging Hispanic and Latinx families in research.
We aim to understand the challenges and supports that Hispanic and Latinx parents, caregivers, and autistic individuals face when accessing therapy.
Insights from these engagement sessions will help culturally adapt the Ayres Sensory Integration OT-ASI manual. One version will be adapted using FG data and the other using DT data, and we will compare how acceptable and feasible each version is.
Participants will receive compensation for their time.
